Tiny’s Coffee Bar

Tiny’s Coffee Bar occupies the 1941 streamline-style building at 555 S Lake St that opened as the Miller Bakery and later spent years as the Miller Bakery Cafe, a fine-dining anchor of Miller Beach. Peggy and Rex Blackwell and their son Matthew bought the building, renovated the interior around the vintage bones and opened Tiny’s in November 2023. The place is a coffee bar by day and a restaurant and cocktail bar at night, and the owners pitch the room to South Shore riders and Dunes visitors looking for a place to sit. The name comes from a family patriarch, a Tennessee moonshiner who stood 6-foot-5.
