Crown Brewing

Crown Brewing revived a name that had been dormant in Crown Point since 1916, when the original Crown Brewing shut down. The current brewery opened in 2008 at 211 S East St, two blocks from the courthouse square, and is owned by Dave Bryan. Brewmaster Steve Mazylewski, who trained in Germany, joined shortly after opening and favors lagers, but the medals came for darker beers: Crown Brown won gold at the 2012 World Beer Cup and Industrial Porter took bronze in 2010. The taproom has a full bar, a kitchen and growler fills, and the brewery partners with the city on the annual Oktoberfest.
