Great Coast Commons opened in 2020 and remains the only restaurant in Kenilworth, a village of about 2,500 people that otherwise has almost no commercial strip. Chick Evans, who moved to town the same year, runs the place with a menu that leans American: Southern fried chicken served with cheddar-chive biscuits, meatballs in pomodoro, a Faroe Island salmon dinner for two and a rotating list of specials such as a Bavarian pretzel during Oktoberfest. In December 2024 Evans told The Record he had bought 444 Green Bay Road two doors down and planned an Irish pub and a pizzeria there.
