Hometown Coffee & Juice

Hometown Coffee & Juice opened at Park and Vernon in 2018 and quickly outgrew the space, taking over the storefront next door before the Rubins expanded to Winnetka, Lake Forest and, in November 2025, Glenview. The menu is espresso drinks, cold-pressed juices and smoothies, pastries and a breakfast-and-lunch lineup of bowls, toasts and sandwiches, with a summer walk-up hut for frozen treats. A car rolled into the Park Avenue side of the building on September 22, 2026; four people had minor injuries, an inspector cleared the building, and the shop planned to reopen the next day. The Winnetka cafe is at 749 Elm St.
