The Art Center Highland Park is the North Shore’s community art school and gallery, a not-for-profit that fills its Sheridan Road building with more than 400 classes and workshops a year in painting, drawing, ceramics, photography and more, serving roughly 2,400 children, teens, adults and seniors, with scholarships for anyone who needs one. The galleries show contemporary work by emerging and established artists throughout the year; an August 2026 exhibit opened with a Friday reception. The Recycled Art Sale each fall sells thousands of donated pieces, and a summer chalk-art event turns downtown sidewalks into a fundraiser.
