Village Inn Pizzeria Sports Bar & Grill has been the meeting spot in downtown Skokie since 1990, when the pizzeria took over the former Alberti’s restaurant on Lincoln Avenue. Thin crust is the specialty; the pie won the Pizza Wars competition in 2013 and 2014, and the restaurant bills the result as the best thin crust in Chicagoland. The menu also runs to pastas, sandwiches, wings and salads, and the bar side draws Skokie, Morton Grove, Niles and Lincolnwood crowds for Bears and Blackhawks games.
