La Lupita has been on Cermak Road in Berwyn since 2003, run by the same family from the start. The draw is the homemade tortillas, which the restaurant says are the reason people drive in from Oak Park, Forest Park and Riverside, and the big pots of pozole, mole and menudo. The menu also runs through skirt steak, seafood, milanesa and tampiquena, with a full set of vegetarian and vegan plates and daily specials. Upstairs there is a rooftop lounge for drinks. The restaurant caters, with a per-person package built around fajitas, mole and chile rellenos, and delivers for an extra fee.
