The Little Traveler

The Little Traveler has been a Third Street landmark in Geneva since 1922, when Kathryn Raftery started selling Imperial silks, jade and lanterns that a friend shipped from Peking out of her Victorian parlor at 404 S. Third Street. The house, built by banker A.B. Moore in 1862, was gradually turned into a store that now bills itself as 36 rooms of shopping, with women’s apparel, tableware, Nora Fleming and Jellycat collections, fair-trade goods and a large seasonal department. The courtyard where visiting chauffeurs once ate became the Atrium Cafe, which serves lunch, Sunday brunch and afternoon tea, and the store runs a full calendar of ticketed teas and events.
