About
Homewood Science Center at 18022 Dixie Highway is a small nonprofit science museum founded in 2016 to bring hands-on STEM learning to the Southland and Northwest Indiana. Exhibits include the Imagination Playground, a STEAM Studio and a Little Learners area for the youngest kids, and the calendar runs STEM Saturdays, Family Fridays, summer camps, an HF Robotics program, conservation ecology sessions and even Dungeons & Dragons. School groups from PreK through eighth grade book curriculum-aligned field trips. The center’s annual Walk Walton fundraiser is a nature fest at Homewood’s Izaak Walton Preserve, set for October 18, 2026.
