About
Nisei Lounge sits at 3439 N. Sheffield Ave., a block south of Wrigley Field. The name comes from a tavern opened on Clark Street near Division by Hiroto Hirabayashi, a Japanese American released from a World War II internment camp; his brother later moved the bar to Sheffield, according to Block Club Chicago’s 2025 history. Today the room is packed with Cubs decor and Malört infusions, plus darts, pool and a back patio. Food is limited to beer nuts, so bring your own.
