Hoosier Mama Pie Company

Hoosier Mama Pie Company is Paula Haney’s pie bakery, opened on Chicago Avenue in West Town and now also in Evanston at 749 Chicago Ave., where the shop shares space with Dollop Coffee. The pies are handmade with seasonal fruit, from rhubarb in spring to Granny Smith apples in fall, and much of that fruit comes from Green City Market, where Hoosier Mama has sold for years. The counter also has scones, muffins, turnovers and savory hand pies, and the Evanston shop adds biscuit sandwiches, salads and savory pie plates for lunch. Whole pies for holidays go fast and are best ordered ahead.
