About
Rockwell on the River is a repurposed tannery complex at 3057 N. Rockwell St. in Avondale, backing onto the North Branch of the Chicago River. The developers turned the vacant industrial buildings into more than 20,000 square feet of event rooms and tenant spaces, now home to Metropolis Coffee’s roastery, Judson & Moore distillery, Soul & Smoke barbecue, Dolce Arte cafe, the Chicago Ceramic Center, a marina and river kayak rentals. Green City Market moved its indoor winter market into the complex starting December 6, 2025, which put a Saturday farmers market next to coffee, whiskey and barbecue under one roof.
