Steppenwolf Theatre Company
About
Steppenwolf Theatre Company grew from a group of young actors in the 1970s into one of the country’s best-known ensemble theaters, with members including Gary Sinise, Laurie Metcalf and John Malkovich. The campus on N Halsted Street in Lincoln Park holds the Downstairs Theater, the Ensemble Theater and a studio space, plus a lobby bar. Productions that start here regularly transfer to New York and Los Angeles. The company sells $20 day-of tickets, half-price rush an hour before curtain and pay-what-you-will seats on Tuesdays, and a RED Card membership gives people under 30 six flexible tickets for a year.
