Reckless Records is Chicago’s best-known independent record store, with the flagship at 1379 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Wicker Park two blocks north of the Division Blue Line stop. The shop sells new and used vinyl and CDs across rock, punk, electronic, hip hop and jazz, buys used records, and keeps leftover Record Store Day titles in stock for months. In-store signings and performances tied to new releases are regular, including artist signings scheduled for early October 2026. The Lakeview store at 929 W. Belmont Ave. and the Loop store at 33 S. Wabash Ave. carry the same mix.
