Creative Coworking

About

Creative Coworking works out of Colvin House, a 1909 Edgewater mansion on Sheridan Road designed by architect George Maher and restored by founder Angela Valavanis as offices and an event venue. The space is aimed at small businesses and remote workers who want a quieter, more residential setting than a downtown tower. Memberships are sold by visits per month, from occasional use up to unlimited, with reserved desks and a four-person private office for people who need more. Valavanis ran the original Creative Coworking in downtown Evanston for 15 years before handing that location to new owners in 2026 to focus on Colvin House.

What to know

  • Flex memberships run from $75 a month for three visits to $300 a month for unlimited visits.

  • A parking spot in the courtyard lot is a $150 monthly add-on, as space allows.
  • Wifi, printing, coffee and snacks are included with memberships.
  • The house is also rented for meetings, weddings and private events through Colvin House Events.
