Holy Name Cathedral
About
Holy Name Cathedral is the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago and a working parish at State and Superior streets in River North. The parish traces its founding to 1849, and the present church, designed by architect Patrick Charles Keely, was dedicated on November 21, 1875. The cathedral holds Mass every day, livestreams several services and runs parish ministries, mission trips and a capital campaign. Visitors can join a free docent tour or use the parish’s digital tour book to explore on their own.
