Didier Farms, on Aptakisic Road in Lincolnshire, hosts Happy Times Pumpkin Fest each fall. The draw is the pricing: walking in and parking cost nothing, so a quick pumpkin run does not come with a gate fee. Inside, attractions run on $1 tickets, from a family corn maze to pony and camel rides, a petting zoo called Animal Land and a playland for small kids. A donut shop sells apple cider donuts and fudge. For North Side and north suburban families, Didier is one of the closest pumpkin farms to the city.
