JM Seafood is a casual Cantonese seafood restaurant at 3312 S Halsted St in Bridgeport, a few blocks south of 31st Street, in the space long known as Wing Yip Chop Suey. The house specialty is twin lobster sticky rice, a shared platter of ginger rice topped with two cracked lobsters, Chinese sausage and salted shrimp. Beef with oyster mushrooms in a glossy sauce and pumpkin slices fried in salted egg yolk are the usual second and third orders. Plates are built for sharing, and the room fills with families and big groups.
