Superdawg Drive-In is a carhop drive-in at 6363 N Milwaukee Ave in Norwood Park, where Milwaukee meets Devon and Nagle, opened in May 1948 by Maurie and Flaurie Berman and still run by the family. Two hot dog figures modeled on the founders stand on the roof. Pull into a stall, order through the speaker, and a carhop brings the box to the window. The Superdawg is the Bermans’ own all-beef sausage on a poppy seed bun with mustard, piccalilli, a kosher dill, chopped onion, a hot pepper and a pickled green tomato, packed with crinkle-cut Superfries.
