Kettlestrings Tavern is a locally owned bar and restaurant at 800 S Oak Park Ave in Oak Park’s Southtown district, near the Oak Park Blue Line stop. The name honors village founders Joe and Betty Kettlestrings. The kitchen does bar food with a twist: wings, soft pretzels with beer cheese, Korean-style Brussels sprouts, salads and signature burgers, with a beer, wine and cocktail list and games on the TVs. The tavern runs weekday specials and a Sunday brunch.
