Ramen Misoya
About
Ramen Misoya is the Mount Prospect location of a Japanese ramen chain that builds every bowl around miso, on Busse Road. Diners choose among three regional misos: rich Hokkaido, light and slightly sweet Tokyo, or deep and sharp Ise, each served over pork broth with bean sprouts, cabbage, bamboo shoots and ground pork. A miso tonkotsu plus curry and kimchi variations round out the menu.
What to know
- The Hokkaido Cha-Shu Ramen, with three slices of miso-marinated pork belly, is the top seller.
- Any bowl can be made vegetarian with a kelp broth, though vegetarian versions come without an egg.
- Hokkaido-style bowls come with corn and two French fries on top.
- The brand also runs a location in New York.
- The shop made Time Out Chicago’s September 2025 list of the area’s best ramen.
