French Bistro

Petite Edith

About

Petite Edith is a seafood-focused French bistro on Wells Street at the north edge of River North, opened November 20, 2025, by chef Jenner Tomaska and Katrina Bravo, the married couple behind the Michelin-starred Esmé. The bright room has large windows, garage doors that open to a garden patio and a wraparound bar. The menu pairs coastal French cooking with Midwestern touches, from monkfish on the bone to whole fried sea bream with smoked potato chips.

What to know

  • The restaurant is named in honor of Katrina Bravo’s mother.
  • The Franklin Frites, potato slivers with truffle aioli, nod to mk, the closed restaurant that stood a block away on Franklin Street.
  • The Edith martini mixes gin and vermouth with mezcal and Chartreuse.
  • The wine list focuses on coastal French and island wines.
  • Reservations are booked through OpenTable.
