Sketchbook Brewing Co. is a brewery and taproom at 821 Chicago Ave in Evanston, a short walk from the Main Street Purple Line and Metra stops. Brewing on a seven-barrel system since 2014, Sketchbook keeps a dozen or more house beers on tap, from pilsners, lagers and hazy IPAs to Belgians, stouts, saisons, fruited sours and barrel-aged beers, with kombucha and gluten-free cider for anyone not drinking beer. The taproom is family-friendly, with games to borrow and outside food allowed.

- No dogs are allowed at the Evanston taproom.
