The Violet Hour is a cocktail bar at Damen Avenue and North Avenue in Wicker Park, part of One Off Hospitality and the bar that taught Chicago to wait behind a mural for a drink. The unmarked door sits in a painted facade that changes a few times a year, and inside are three candlelit salons and a marble bar. The list is seasonal and built on pre-Prohibition-style cocktails, and the Damen Blue Line stop is across the intersection.
