Pop’s Beef

Pop’s Beef at 10337 S. Kedzie Ave. in Mount Greenwood is the one Chicago store of a South Side and south suburban chain that opened its first location in Palos Heights in March 1980. Each store slow-cooks and slices its own Italian beef and makes its own hot giardiniera. The menu adds char-grilled Italian sausage, combos, all-beef hot dogs and charbroiled chicken, and the company caters beef by the pound with gravy and rolls for parties.
