18th Street Brewery
About
18th Street Brewery started as Drew Fox’s home brewing project in 2010 and went official in 2013 with the release of Sinister, a double IPA. The first brewpub was a 3,200-square-foot former dry cleaner in Gary; the company then bought a 32,000-square-foot warehouse on Oakley Avenue in Hammond for production, barrel aging, a taproom and a kitchen, and in 2017 added a still, opening a tasting lounge in summer 2018 and describing the operation as Hammond’s first distillery since Prohibition. In 2026 the brewery sold the Oakley building and moved everything to 474 Fayette Street in downtown Hammond. Flagships include Best Patio Pils, Devil’s Cup and Hunter.
