Amerikas is a Nuevo Latino restaurant at 734 Lake St in downtown Oak Park, about four blocks east of the Harlem/Lake Green Line stop. Chef Armando Gonzalez has run the restaurant since 2018, and the K in the name is a nod to Oak Park. Breakfast and brunch are traditional Latin American dishes such as huevos rancheros; dinner mixes cuisines, with plates like sea bass on farro with parsnip puree and a roasted cauliflower with calabaza and hummus. The restaurant has sidewalk seating and a happy hour.
