Bartoli’s Pizzeria

Bartoli’s Pizzeria is a deep dish pizzeria at 1955 W Addison St in Roscoe Village, opened in 2013 by Brian Tondryk, grandson of Gino’s East co-founder Fred Bartoli, on a version of the family recipe. The pie is on the lighter end of deep dish: a flaky crust, mild mozzarella and a sweet, peppery tomato sauce, with extra sauce on request. Nonna Bartoli’s spinach and cheese pizza and the meat-heavy Union Stockyard are the signature orders. The Brown Line’s Addison stop is a couple of blocks east.

• A second shop opened at 658 N Ashland Ave in West Town in 2020.
• Slices are sold by the piece, one of the few ways to try deep dish without a whole pie.
• The restaurant’s site lists a 2016 Chicago Tribune best pizza pick and a 2017 Food & Wine mention.
• Eater Chicago included the shop on its deep dish map again in September 2026.
• Street parking on Addison is metered and tight.
