Bavette’s Bar & Boeuf is the Hogsalt group’s steakhouse at 218 W Kinzie St in River North, a block from the Merchandise Mart L stop. The room is dark and curtained with a supper-club feel and a menu that pairs French bistro dishes with dry-aged beef: a 10-ounce ribeye steak frites ($44.99), a 42-day dry-aged bone-in ribeye ($99.99), spiced fried chicken ($27.99), short rib stroganoff ($29.99) and truffle mac and cheese ($20.99). Reservations release 21 days in advance at 9 a.m. and the bar seats walk-ins. The restaurant closed after September 19, 2026 for a temporary break and says it will reopen in mid-November 2026.
