Blue City Cycles has been Bridgeport’s bike shop since a grand opening party in March 2009, run by owner Owen Lloyd with a small team of mechanics. The shop sells new bikes from Masi, Haro, Del Sol and Linus and special-orders other brands, and the service work goes beyond flats and tune-ups to steel frame modification, frame repair and custom powder coating. The shop is one of the few full-service bike stores on the South Side close to the Lakefront Trail and the 31st Street Beach connection, and a shop cat named Vanya lives on site.
