Chicago Chop House occupies a renovated Victorian brownstone built in 1897 at 60 W Ontario St in River North, a three-block walk from the Grand Red Line stop. The three-story restaurant is lined with historical Chicago photographs and sells hand-cut USDA Prime steaks, steak tartare, lamb chops and Chilean sea bass, with lava cake and New York cheesecake made in house. Valet runs $21 cash or $23 by card. The restaurant notes on its own site that the building is not ADA accessible and that an 18 percent gratuity is added for parties of six or more.
