Chicago Sinai Congregation

Chicago Sinai Congregation is a Reform Jewish congregation on Delaware Place, just off State Street on the Gold Coast. Founded in 1861, Sinai was Chicago’s first Reform temple and one of the first in the country. The congregation says it was among the first in America to grant women full membership and, in 1982, the first Jewish congregation in Chicago to fully welcome interfaith families. Friday evening Shabbat services feature a choir, and Saturday mornings bring prayer and Torah study. Sinai also runs a preschool, religious school and the public Sinai Forum speaker series.
