Clutch Bagels & Spreads

Clutch Bagels & Spreads is the bagel counter of Miller Beach, a few doors north of the Lake Street galleries at 444 S Lake St in Gary. The business started as the Clutch food truck and settled into a storefront where the morning menu is bagels with house-made spreads, egg sandwiches and lox-style builds like a zaatar bagel with salmon. Burgers, a steak and cheddar jalapeno sandwich and hot dogs fill out the lunch side, and Detroit-style pizza comes out after 11:30 in the morning. Orders go through the counter or through Toast for pickup, and a second pickup spot in Highland runs on two Fridays a month.
