Coalfire is a coal-oven pizzeria at 1321 W Grand Ave in West Town, with a second location at 3707 N Southport Ave in Lakeview. The thin-crust pizzas bake in a 1,500-degree coal-fired oven and come out slightly charred and bubbly at the edge, and the menu adds a short list of salads and starters and beer. The 65 Grand bus stops out front, the Grand Blue Line stop is about a 15-minute walk east, and street parking on Grand is metered.
