The Falcon Inn

The Falcon Inn has been a Hyde Park gathering spot since the late 1970s, according to Block Club Chicago, which counts a 1978 sign inside and a 1981 liquor license application. The single-story storefront at 1601 E. 53rd St. sits along the Metra tracks. Inside are a worn wooden back bar, a copper-tile ceiling and a side room for karaoke. Pitchers are the house order, and pizza, wings and tacos come from Cholie’s Pizza through a shared window.
