Fatso’s Last Stand is a hot dog stand at 2258 W Chicago Ave in Ukrainian Village, on the bar strip of Chicago Avenue west of Damen. Every dog is charred rather than steamed and dressed Chicago style, and the grill also turns out char Polish, salami sandwiches, a Fatso burger and fried shrimp. Several dishes are built on homemade mac and cheese. Eater Chicago calls the char dog one of the best in the city, and Time Out Chicago and Axios Chicago both list Fatso’s among Chicago’s top hot dogs.
