Frank Lloyd Wright Trust

The Frank Lloyd Wright Trust is the nonprofit that operates the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio at 951 Chicago Ave in Oak Park, where the architect lived and worked from 1889 to 1909. The trust also runs Robie House in Hyde Park, Unity Temple and the Rookery light court in the Loop. Tours include guided interiors, self-guided audio walks in eight languages and a neighborhood walk past the Prairie-style houses on Forest Avenue, and each site has a museum shop.

• The guided interior tour of the house lasts 60 minutes and costs $24; the Inside and Out ticket adds a 45-minute audio walk for $38 total.
• Weekday tours of the Rookery’s light court cost $15.
• The Home has stairs at every entrance and is not wheelchair accessible; strollers are not allowed inside.

• The Green Line’s Harlem/Lake stop and Metra’s Union Pacific West line both reach Oak Park; the house is about a 10-minute walk from the Metra stop.
