Friend Health, established in 1997 and formerly called Friend Family Health Center, runs community health centers on Chicago’s South Side. The Cottage Grove clinic at 6250 S. Cottage Grove Ave. in Woodlawn, near the Cottage Grove Green Line terminal, offers medical care, behavioral health, a pharmacy and immediate care. Other locations are on South Ashland Avenue, South Pulaski Road, South Western Avenue and West 47th Street, plus a site shared with UI Health on Pulaski. Services include adult medicine, women’s and children’s health, psychiatry, substance use treatment and dental care.
