The Inner Town Pub

The Inner Town Pub has run at 1935 W. Thomas St. since 1983, in a building that housed taverns under other names for decades before that, according to Block Club Chicago. The pub became a hangout for the neighborhood’s artists in the late 1980s and 1990s and still hosts art shows, music and readings. Pool and darts are free, drinks are priced like a dive, and Elvis shows up on nearly every wall. The bar is cash only.
