Katy’s Dumplings is a Northern Chinese noodle and dumpling restaurant in a strip mall at 665 N Cass Ave in Westmont, with a second location on Lake Street in Oak Park. The name points to the dumplings, but the hand-pulled noodles are the reason the restaurant keeps getting written up: thick tangles of fresh noodle in a garlicky spicy beef broth with pickled greens, dan dan noodles and pickled cabbage pork belly soup. Pork and chive potstickers, soup dumplings and a stir-fried sliced pancake with pork and onion fill out the order. The room is no-frills.
