La Scarola is an Italian-American restaurant on West Grand Avenue in River West, open since 1998. The menu sticks to red-sauce standards and house creations, from pasta e fagioli and fried calamari to penne alla vodka with shrimp, chicken Vesuvio and a grilled veal chop alla Armani over risotto.
