About
Nafsi opened in 2024 inside the South Shore Cultural Center, the 1905 former country club on the lake at 71st Street, and the dining room looks out over the grounds and the beach. Founder Donnell Digby built the menu on dressed-up Southern plates: shrimp and grits, fried green tomatoes, chicken and waffles, calamari with hot honey, beignets and a seafood tower with fried lobster. Weekend brunch has live jazz, happy hour runs on weekday afternoons, and the bar stocks wine, beer and spirits from local and minority-owned brands. The room also hosts weddings and private events.
