North Shore Center for the Performing Arts
About
North Shore Center for the Performing Arts opened in November 1996 on Skokie Boulevard, in a brick and glass complex designed by Boston architect and developer Graham Gund. The building holds two theaters and has been the resident home of Northlight Theatre, one of the region’s larger Equity companies, since opening. The rest of the calendar is touring acts: national comedians, singer-songwriters, dance companies, Music of the Baroque concerts and children’s shows. The center sits between Old Orchard and downtown Skokie, with a free surface lot and Pace bus service on Skokie Boulevard, and the box office at (847) 673-6300 handles tickets.
