North Shore Congregation Israel

North Shore Congregation Israel is a Reform Jewish congregation at 1185 Sheridan Road in Glencoe. North Shore families who belonged to a Chicago Reform temple formed a northern branch in 1920, separated in April 1926 and chose the name North Shore Congregation Israel that June. The congregation’s building, designed by mid-century modernist Minoru Yamasaki, was dedicated in 1964. NSCI holds Friday night Kabbalat Shabbat services and runs holiday programs, adult learning, a 20s and 30s group and senior programming.
