Old Fashioned Donuts is a family-run takeout donut shop on S Michigan Avenue in Roseland on the Far South Side, opened by the Bulloch family in November 1972. The dough is rolled and cut by hand in the front window, and the shop is known for an apple fritter, a yeast-dough slab loaded with thick-cut apples and cinnamon that Tasting Table weighed at more than a pound, along with oversized glazed and Texas donuts, long johns and blueberry donuts. This is a counter, not a cafe.
