About
Omakase Yume is chef Sangtae Park’s six-seat sushi counter at 651 W. Washington Blvd. in the West Loop, a walk from Ogilvie Transportation Center. Park opened the restaurant in 2018 after running neighborhood Japanese restaurants in Highland Park and Niles. Each seating gets one 16-course chef’s tasting of Edomae-style nigiri with a few cooked courses, and grilled miso black cod over seasoned rice is a fixture. There is no a la carte menu and no substitutions.

- Park earned one Michelin star in the 2020 guide, announced September 26, 2019; the current guide lists the restaurant as recommended.
- Three seatings run Tuesday through Saturday at 5, 7 and 9 p.m.
- House rules include a 15-minute grace period and no strong fragrances.
