Patty Please is a smashburger pop-up that runs out of a bar at 2956 N. Albany Ave., at Albany and Wellington in Avondale. The menu is thin, crisp-edged smashburgers, including the signature Pleaser with grilled onions and a tangy sauce, plus garlicky cheese curds and frozen banana daiquiris. The corner is residential, and the kitchen keeps serving well after most Avondale restaurants have closed.
