Portillo’s & Barnelli’s Chicago is the River North location of the Portillo’s chain, at 100 W Ontario St near Clark Street, a short walk from the Grand Red Line stop. The restaurant sells Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef, char-broiled burgers, chopped salad, Barnelli’s pasta and the chocolate cake shake. The dining room is large and decorated in a 1930s Prohibition theme, which makes the place an easy fit for families and groups.
