Rico’s Pizza has been part of Ridge Road in Lansing since December 1975, when Phil Derrico opened in the basement of the former Party Tap at the corner of Stateline Avenue and Ridge Road. The original menu was pizza with a choice of five toppings and a few sandwiches. After several years the restaurant moved west along Ridge Road to 3651 Ridge Road, the current spot, and the family says the menu has grown a bit while the approach stays the same. Derrico died in 2008. The original Party Tap sign is on display, and orders are taken for pickup and delivery.
