Saint Ignatius College Prep is a coed Jesuit Catholic high school at 1076 W. Roosevelt Road on the Near West Side. The school was founded in 1869 and draws students from across Chicago and the suburbs. Freshman admission uses the High School Placement Test along with seventh- and eighth-grade report cards, student and parent statements and recommendations. The school says about one in four students receives financial aid, with an average award above $16,000 and more than $7 million awarded each year. Tuition for 2026-27 is $24,300.
